MSR Executive

1.              The MSR Executive is to be made up of no less than four members of the club.

2.              If a member of the executive’s membership is terminated, then the existing members of the executive will vote in unanimously another member of the club to fill that vacancy. 

3.              The members of the executive are responsible for:

a.  MSR Membership;

b.  MSR Ride Captain;

c.  MSR Ride Calendar;

d.  Maintenance and upkeep of the MSR website;

e.  The maintenance of the MSR Forum;

f.Maintenance of the MSR Admin Fund; and

g.  All other administration concerning the club.

Membership

 Victorian Members

5.   The following applies to members who live in Victoria:

a.              Must ride a motorcycle 250cc and above;

b.              Elected as a member by unanimous vote from the MSR Executive; and

c.              Attends four official day rides and one official overnighter a year to retain membership.

Note: An official ride is one that is on the ride calendar. It does NOT constitute a MSR social activity 

Interstate Members 

6.   The following applies to members who live interstate:

a.             Rides a motorcycle 250cc and above;

b.           attend one overnighter with the club at least once per two

years; and

c.             Elected as member by unanimous vote from the MSR Executive.

Entry to Membership

7.   Entry to membership is as follows:

a.  Applicants who live within Victoria are to complete at least four rides plus one overnighter within a 12 month period and are deemed suitable to the club.

b.  Applicants who live interstate may be nominated for membership on the recommendation of ANY member of the MSR after that person has completed at least one overnight ride with the club.

c.  Applicants shall be considered promptly by the MSR Executive which by unanimous vote will accept or reject an applicant.

Joining Fee

8.   a. The joining fee for a new member is $30.00

Termination of Membership

9.   Membership can be terminated for the following reasons:

a.              Failure to participate in four official rides and one official overnighter a year (personal circumstances may be taken into account)  for all members, including members of the MSR Executive, who resides in Victoria; and

b.              Failure to participate in one ride per 2 years (personal circumstances may be taken into account)  for a member who resides interstate; and

c.              Personal conduct is deemed disruptive and poor.

10.     A member may resign from the MSR at any time.

Membership Fees

11.     Annual membership fee is $30.00. The fee is to be paid into the MSR Admin Fund NLT 28 Jan every year. 

MSR Vest Patch

12.   All members may wear the MSR patch on the front of thier vest.
